SOS is Unable to Sponsor Neutering for Members of Public

We are sorry that we are not financially viable to fund or aid the neutering for public members. With the limited funds, we are only able to sponsor seasoned feeders and rescuers to neuter at commercial clinic. That said, please do not be deterred and quickly send your pets to spay/neuter for better health and temperament. Most of all, for lesser stray issues. Thank you.

Pyometra: Pregnancy Injection

These are not German sausages.

These are a female dog’s uterus being removed due to suffering from Pyometra infection with Pus.

Pyometra is dangerous. Once the pus bursts, the dog will die. It is caused by preventive pregnancy injections.  Please do not use preventive pregnancy injections.  SPAY them.

SOS has many pyometra patients, some feeders seek for convenience and so use this preventive pregnancy jab. The side effects are bad. It normally takes dogs a few days to start eating and normally the dog will cry due to pain after waking up from surgery.

SOS Objectives
Promote TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Rehome/Release) program to reduce community dogs and cats population in a humane solution. It is a long term solution to end senseless killing of innocent lives. Reduction in community homeless pets will also help to reduce the burden of no kill shelters which are mostly full to the brim of unwanted abandoned animals.

SOS has neutered 3000 street community dogs and cats since 2012, SOS does not operate a shelter but we help the independent feeders, rescuers, private shelters to supply them help in terms of food, medical, neutering subsidy to lessen their burden.
